- Prince William has made a decision to “never” let his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew around his family again.
- The future monarch doesn’t want Andrew at King Charles’ eventual funeral.
- Per a source, if “Andrew is present” at an event, “William, Catherine and the children won’t be.”
Disgraced former prince, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, is currently living on the Sandringham Estate in wake of his arrest. And while he might be on royal property, he’s being completely shunned by the royals themselves—including Prince William who has reportedly vowed to never let his family be around him again.
“William has made a very firm decision,” a royal insider tells Rob Shuter. “Andrew will never be around Catherine or the kids again. That door is completely closed. William’s priority is protecting Catherine and the children. He doesn’t want them anywhere near the controversy surrounding Andrew.”
When it comes to royal events that could involve the entire family, the solution—as far as William is concerned—is easy: per the source, “If Andrew is present, William, Catherine and the children won’t be. It’s that simple.”
William plans to abide by this rule for all future royal events, with no exceptions. “When the time eventually comes for King Charles’s funeral, William does not want Andrew there,” the insider confirms. “He doesn’t want that shadow anywhere near Catherine or his children. Catherine and the kids come first. Andrew is out of their world for good.”
Prince William and Kate Middleton haven’t made a statement on Andrew’s arrest, but issued one beforehand via their spokesperson, who said (via People) “I can confirm the Prince and Princess have been deeply concerned by the continuing revelations. Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”
